LAMINATED
Laminates are made of glass, carbon or kevlar ® fibre impregnated with pure or filled PTFE,FEP or PFA, assembled in multi-layers -180°C to +280°C. This gives the laminates exceptional mechanical strength, heat and chemical resistance and remarkable non-stick qualities. Due to their great dimensional stability, even under heavy loads and pressures, these laminates stand up to technical constrains in numerous fields:
Mechanical applications : Insulating and self-lubricating bearings, tracking guides, sheets and tubes for thermal and electric insulation, machined products for high technology, pre-cut joints for difficult or harsh environments, sliding pads, non-stick modular coatings (walls, painting booths).
Laminates for the Electronics Industry
Laminates with electrodeposited copper foil on 1 or 2 sides -180°C to +220°C in constant temperature.
Base : glass, quartz, or kevlar fiber impregnated with PTFE, PFA or FEP.
Certified conform to MIL/ NRQ/ UL standards.
- High frequencies : the dielectric constant is stable over a wide frequency band, the dissipation factor and dielectric loss are
extremely small, accelerated transmission of high speed signals, excellent mechanical strength and heat resistance, incombustible, produces printed circuits which are very thin but have higher specific gravity, reduced crosstalk (with specific internal layers), water absorption practically zero, very good behaviour under machining and drilling.
Electrical Applications :
Line circuits in microwave band, microstrip antenna for SHF and down converters, high frequency radio communication equipment, heat-resistant circuits, car and mobile telephones, high-speed computers, wiring for artificial satellites etc…
COPPER-CLAD LAMINATES
CHUKOH FLO® COPPER-CLAD COMPOSITE LAMINATES
Copper-clad laminates are composed of our fabrics, fluoroplastic and fluoropolymer films and electrodeposited copper foil which is fused on one or both sides. They are used for a printed circuit boards for high frequency bands.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Highly heat-resistant.
- Stable dielectric constant over a wide frequency band.
- Very small factor of dissipation over a wide frequency band.
MAIN APPLICATIONS
Mobile unit communication equipment such as portable telephone/down converter for radio satellites/high frequency radio communication equipment/equipement for assembling artificial satellites/measuring instruments/flat antennae/super-fast computers/others.
CGP-500
This type is a laminate cnsisting of glass fibre impregnated with fluoropolymers (standard substratum).
It has good copper peel strength, very good waterproofness and drilling processability, good dimensional stability and excellent mechanical strength.
CGP-500 series are certified to meet UL standards.
CGS-500
This laminate is composed of an assembling of composites: glass fibre impregnated with fluoropolymers and sheets of fluoroplastic.
It has a lower dielectric constant and dissipation factor than the CGP type.
CGS-500 series are certified to meet UL standard.
CQF-500
This laminate is composed of quartz fibre impregnated with fluoropolymers.
This substrate has a very low dielectric loss in the microwave band.
CGH-500
This laminate is composed of glass fibre impregnated with fluoropolymers and a special inorganic material.
Its dielectric constant lies between the CGP-500 and the CGK-500.
CGK-500
This laminate is composed of glass fibre impregnated with fluoropolymers and a special inorganic material.
It has a high dielectric constant, a low dielectric loss and an excellent resistance to machining.
CGC-500
This laminate is composed of glass fibre impregnated with fluoropolymers and a special inorganic material. It combines good mmechanical strength with dimensional stability, thanks to the ceramic aluminium substratum, and has the good resistance to machining characteristic of a fluoroplastic substrata with a high dielectric constant.
CGE-500
This laminate is composed of glass fibre impregnated with PPE and subsequenthly fused. It is hareder and therefore easier to machine with an excellent performance in high-frequency use and in durability.
CGA-500
This laminate is composed of glass fibre impregnated with fluoroplastic and a special inorganic material. It is specialy designed for mass production.
GRADE OF COPPER-CLAD LAMINATE GRADE: A FEW WORDS OF EXPLANATION
